Jessica Ashton joined Alternative HR in 2020 after gaining over 10 years of experience in human resources.  She is a dedicated professional who has worked in the corporate, cooperative, and non-profit sectors. Jessica’s range of experience provides valuable perspective and insight for our clients.  

Throughout her career, Jessica has been a firm believer that employees are a company’s best asset and HR’s main customer. Jessica is an advocate for equipping people with the knowledge they need to be successful and to make informed decisions. She is extremely proficient at customizing employee handbooks and job descriptions, as well as at analyzing compensation data. Jessica is involved in the City of Sioux Fall’s Pathways to Inclusion & Equitable Workplaces and is a trainer for Alternative HR’s Respect at Work Initiative. 

Jessica is a member of the Sioux Empire Society for Human Resource Management (SESHRM) and has previously served on their Board of Directors.
